Why Kanye Aint Show Up to The Grammys

"It was announced on Thursday that Drake, Lil Wayne & Eminem (along with Travis Barker) would be performing at The Grammy’s tonight, but Kanye West’s name wasn’t brought up. AllHipHop’s hunch is that it’s because they snubbed Kanye’s 808’s & Heartbreaks, even though his song “Amazing” and 4 other songs that he was featured on were up nominated tonight.

Yesterday, Drake told The Canadian Press that Kanye will not be joining them because he might be working on his project, and Travis Barker told MTV he heard pretty much the same thing. That sounds good and all, but he couldn’t have found another time to do that? I understand that it makes sense if they diss what you do, you go back in the studio and do it better, but why tonight? This is the one night out of the year where he’s given a free pass to talk his shit. Plus, he just spent a week chilling out in Paris, why would he have to go back to work immediately? It doesn’t make any sense and I guess it’s not supposed to.

He obviously has his reason, but either Ye’s people or The Grammy’s need to patch this up soon. I think they should have let him give out an award or have some sort of microphone time, at least some sort of chance to help his image, regardless of what happened at the VMAs… because right now it just looks like they’re scared of him.

Then again, they could have very well offered him something other than a performance and he declined, possibly because he really does want to stay out of the spotlight, per what he told Leno a few months ago. All I know is that for the last 5 years, The Grammy’s have been synonymous with Kanye West (for my generation at least,) and sometimes these award shows aren’t really worth watching if it isn’t for the fuckery"

BIG Shoutout to NAHRIGHT.com on this one I Aint write none of the above. I Couldnt Have said it better.
